Frequently Asked Questions
We are ready for our wedding! How do we book?
It’s easy! Click the Contact link at the top of the page, fill out our form, and submit it to us. We will email you back within 48 hours to confirm the date and details and we will send you a contract and payment link for a 30% non-refundable deposit to reserve your date!
It’s not. The questionnaire will deal with matters more specific to your wedding day. Let’s have a chat and get started on your wedding! Hopefully, this FAQ can answer a few questions
The nature of a Pop-Up wedding is flexible. You’ve got to be willing to “go with the flow” on the day. That being said, we watch the weather closely and help navigate any weather-related changes well in advance of the event. If this kind of uncertainty makes you nervous we offer indoor venues, however, these locations do come at an additional cost.
What about full-scale catering or sit down meals ?
Because many of our venues are private homes or public parks SGW does not offer any catering services outside of our packages.
However, not to despair! Atlanta is full of delicious restaurants of all kinds. As with our wedding locations, we have scouted the Atlanta area and found our favorite restaurants with private rooms and a great atmosphere to continue your intimate celebration after our services!
Yes, it really is. If you are interested in a more full-service wedding that falls outside the range of our packages, fill out our form and indicate that. We are happy to customize an experience for you.
When is the best time of day to have a small wedding?
That all depends on your preference and location. We are happy to work with you for any time of day. The biggest headache is the traffic in the city. During the week “Rush Hour” is solidly from 4:00 – 6:30. If you want your ceremony during those hours, the timeline will simply need to have additional flexibility.
You do not have to choose a location before you book with us. If you are unsure of your preference, indicate that on the form and we’ll handpick some selections for you to review.
Why don’t you list the addresses of your locations?
We do not disclose the specific location of our ceremony sites to the general public. Some of our locations are private residences that open their homes exclusively to our special events.
I have a friend who is a photographer. May we bring our own photographer?
To ensure the quality standard Sweet Grass Weddings promises we only work with select vendors. With this being said, your guests are welcome to bring their own non-professional photography gear and snap away.
What about the marriage license?
In Georgia, both of you must visit the chosen probate court to be granted a marriage license. The costs and specifics for your case and county can be a little different, but it is a quick and simple process. You will bring the license to the ceremony for the officiant to sign and you will be married! Georgia has no waiting period and does not require a blood test. Check out our blog post (with links!) on exactly how to get married in Georgia.
What about your cakes? Can I get gluten-free?
SGW has partnered with Miss Mamies Cupcakes for our wedding day treats.
Gluten-free too? Yep. Please indicate that on the form. There will be a $25 extra fee.
